Out of favour Malawi national football team striker Richard Mbulu is in the hunt for a new club after being released by his South African club, Baroka.

Mbulu played a pivotal role in helping the Flames qualify for Africa Cup of the Nations tournament in Cameroon where he was a member of the Malawi squad but in coach, Mario Marinica has not selected him for national duty in recent squads.

And although his three league goals made him joint top goal scorer for his South African club, he and his team were poor and got relegated from the top league, the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Following Baroka’s relegation Mbulu has also been released.

According to a statement released by the club on Thursday, Mbulu has been released together with Vusi Sibiya, Elvis Chipezeze, Lungelo Nguse, Mohau Bowali, Athenkosi Dlala, Augustine Mahlonoko, Nhlanhla Mgaga, Thami Masiya and Denwin Farmer.
