Karonga United has reached a new agreement with Ghanaian defender Eric Atsigah with a year to still keep him at the club until 2023.

The former Masters Security and Mighty Wanderers defender's contract was due to end in December 2022 but a new agreement has now been reached to keep him at the club.

 General Secretary for Karonga United Ramsey Simwaka has confirmed the development saying they cannot afford to let go of their captain. 

"Following the recommendations from the technical panel, Atsigah's contract has been extended until 2023,” said Simwaka adding that th Ghanaian is a hard working player and very reliable to the club.
