Dedza Dynamos striker Promise Kamwendo was the hero on Saturday as he helped his side defeat Ekwendeni Hammers 3-2 in their first game at the Dedza stadium, becoming the first player to register a hat trick this season.

Kamwendo completed his brace in the first 20 minutes of the match before Isaac Msiska and Richard Lapson equalised for the visitors before half time in an entertaining match that delighted Dedza football lovers.

Kamwendo made sure he had the last say, sealing the win with his and his team’s third on the day.

He has become the first and so far the only player to score three in a single super league match this season.

With the win, Dedza Dynamos has moved up to 7th position with 18 points from 13 games while Ekwendeni Hammers is one place outside the relegation zone with 13 points from 14 games.
