Former Malawi national football team striker Atusaye Nyondo has returned to Silver Strikers after spending 13 years away from the club.

Nyondo left the central bankers in 2009 when he clinched a deal with Carara Kicks in South Africa for his first taste of professional football.

The striker started his playing career in Mzuzu with a junior team called Chibavi Destroyers

Before he made the move to Silver.

While in South Africa he also played for SuperSport United, Pretoria University and Bloemfontein Celtic.

He also played club football in Ethiopia for Saint Georgia of Ethiopia whom he joined in 2019.

Since 2021, Nyondo failed to find a club away from home and has now decided to return to Silver Strikers this year and where he has resumed training ahead of the new season.

Sources say the former Flames star has impressed which is why he has been given a year long contract.
